A lifelong resident of Austin, Texas, James B. Janknegt has degrees in studio art, printmaking, painting, and drawing.  For almost thirty years he has exhibited his works all over the state, and many of his works hang in public buildings in the city of Austin.  His religious works are set in the contemporary urban landscape, and subjects are always dressed in modern clothing.
