Designed for Christ Church's evening liturgy on Good Friday 2008, The Way of the Cross was developed by Christopher Drelich using Pope John Paul II's Scriptural Way of the Cross along with resources from The Book of Common Prayer and The Book of Occasional Services.

Images from the 13th through 21st centuries were projected on a large screen in the dimly-lit church, while parishioners heard different portions of the passion narrative read by The Rev. John Denson and The Rev. Caroline Hines.  Following each narrative was a musical response in the form of a hymn or brief instrumental or vocal interlude.

The liturgy concluded with the receiving of communion from the reserved sacrament.
