Parish Mission Trip

July 20-26, 2008
Trinity Jubilee Center, Lewiston, Maine

Our mission trip this summer is open to everyone, and is appropriate for families, adults and youth (youth who are not in high school or high school youth group this year must be accompanied by a parent).  We will be working at the Trinity Jubilee Center of Trinity Episcopal Church in Lewiston, ME.

The Jubilee Center operates a food pantry and soup kitchen for those in need, and offers after school and summer school programs, translation and other services to assist a large population of refugees from Somalia.

During the week we will be there the Jubilee Center will need our help with the soup kitchen, food pantry, a huge Food Bank food distribution, the summer school program and some repair work.   Accommodations will be at the Rural Community Action Ministry, an old Catholic Mission, where we will prepare our own meals.
